12th November sees the much anticipated return of the Plump DJs to XOYO. After two sell out shows earlier this year, the Plumps’ fresh take on electro, house and bass has been proven to bring together like-minded electronic artists as well as crowds in their droves for pure “party of the year” vibes. The next instalment will be no different as the Plumps are joined by a selection of artists at the forefront of cross-genre, dance floor friendly production.   With recent remix releases for the likes of Mark Ronson, Deadmau5 and Fenech Soler, the Plump DJs continue to be the avid pioneers of diverse electronic music they were when they first cut their teeth in the late 1990s. Heading up the new Grand Hotel imprint, their bass strong, drum heavy collaborations with the scene’s most promising protégés have seen airplay from the likes of Carl Cox, Crookers, Zinc and Annie Nightingale. Bringing everything from bassline, wonky and hard edged house to uncompromising electro smashers to your ears and dancing feet, the Plumps’ next London show is not to be missed.   Also set to grace the XOYO decks on the night is garage-adoring duo, Hot City. Since their album release on Moshi Moshi earlier this year, their stock has risen to the sky and their unique strain of house and garage inflected bass couldn’t be more on point. Expect playful synth work, ecstatic vocals and some seriously punchy drums throughout their set, while the C.R.S.T. four piece add to the eclecticism with their mutant strains of UK Bass and low end dub.   Wafa is a producer and musician with his fingers in pies of every flavour. With releases on Sinden’s Grizzly label and collaboration and remix work with the likes of Drop The Lime, Wolfie and Basement Jaxx, Wafa’s production skills and style speak for themselves. He’ll be dropping wonky bangers with an added twitch on XOYO’s soundsystem alongside Yorkshire born trio, Mistamen. Championing off kilter, low tempo house and garage inflected electronica, the Mistamen boys complete the refreshingly unique support for the Plump DJs on 12th November.   Room Two will be hosted by the influential London based electronic music blog, Drm Rll Pls, who will be bringing a slew of credible artists and residents to add to proceedings.   For more information or interview/content requests, please contact sophie@thecolumbogroup.com ------------------------------------------------------------ Line up: PLUMP DJS + HOT CITY + C.R.S.T. + WAFA + MISTAMEN Date: Saturday 12th November 2011 Address: 32-37 Cowper Street, London, EC2A 4AP Entry: £8 earlybird tickets, £10 standard ticket, MOTD Time: 9pm – 3am Web: www.xoyo.co.uk ------------------------------------------------------------ BUY TICKETS HERE NOW
